Effective February 1, 2026, Mr. Young Hyun (“Young”) Kim was appointed President, LACC, LLC, a joint venture between Lotte Chemical USA Corporation and Westlake Corporation.  He holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Chonnam National University in Gwangju, Korea.

Mr. Kim has more than two decades of ever-increasing positions with Lotte Chemical since joining the company.  He began his career as a Production Engineer and progressed through various engineering and management positions.  In 2014, Mr. Kim was assigned to Lotte Chemical USA Corporation’s joint venture project, LACC, LLC.  He was involved in the development, design, building, commissioning, and startup of the ethylene plant.  He continued in his role as Production Manager and Senior Project Engineer until January 2020 when he was named Team Leader for New Business Development.

In the summer of 2021, Mr. Kim returned to Korea to become a General Manager on the M&A Team.  From 2023 until he returned to the U.S. as LACC, LLC’s President, he was Vice President in New Business Development and the Monomer Business Group.
